Verbal Ability - Grammar concepts

Grammar concepts Description

A set of rules/concepts that govern the use of a language is called its grammar. Although these are taught initially, but their basic understanding is achieved through constant practice.
While the concepts seem to be endless, the base on which these are defined are the various parts of a speech, including
  • Noun
  • Pronoun
  • Verb
  • Adverb
  • Adjective
  • Preposition
  • Conjunction
  • Interjection

Besides the above parts of speech, articles, idioms and tenses also play an important part in the formation of sentence.
To achieve a good command over English, the knowledge of its correct grammar usage is very essential, especially the use of tenses, which specify whether the action/central theme is a thing of present or past or future.

Some examples illustrating the application of various grammar concepts are:-
