Line Charts Description

Line Charts are the most popular forms of graphical data representations in the business world as they can seamlessly give a fair idea of the ups and downs of a product/ company/ industry over a time period. These charts are created via linking of a series of data points through straight lines.
Line charts are mainly used to represent the data which frequently changes over time.
A line chart comprises of various sub parts such as:-
  • Title :- It summarizes the type of data represented in the chart
  • Labels :- These specify the categories of data
  • Axis (X & Y) :- These are used to represent category names and their value range.
  • Points :- These specify the values of the categories
  • Lines :- These represent the change between the points.
